I was pleased to show several paintings at MWA, Caersws. These came about following a period of reading haiku. Possibly thoughts of snowy weather infiltrated my mind as I embarked on the series. Haiku capture the essence of a moment, which makes a painting that is constructed over time somewhat different. However, my aim was to capture something pared back, with a limited palette. In fact, I think of these small paintings as representations of places I would like to be; just the snow, trees and silence!
